New: Biostimulation of the eye area with polynucleotides

Polynucleotide treatment stands out among other aesthetic treatments due to its unique regenerative properties and its ability to stimulate the body's natural healing processes. Unlike dermal fillers or botulinum toxin, polynucleotide therapy focuses on rejuvenating the skin from within, providing a more natural and subtle enhancement. Polynucleotides significantly improve skin firmness, density and quality, even in the delicate eye area. More novelty among the treatments was described by Medicom Clinic corrective dermatologist Sabina Sellner, M.D., Ph.
It is a scientifically confirmed method of biostimulation that contains polynucleotides that stimulate skin regeneration. Tissue stimulators do not alter facial features. This is particularly advantageous in the long term. There is no danger of the bogeyman called the over-filled effect, which occurs with excessive and too frequent application of hyaluronic acid.
WHAT ARE POLYNUCLEOTIDES?
Polynucleotides are substances composed of nucleotide chains that are the basic building blocks of the nucleic acids DNA and RNA. They have the ability to stimulate the synthesis of collagen and elastin, which improves skin firmness and elasticity. These substances may also have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, which helps protect the skin from damage and promotes skin health.
WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF POLYNUCLEOTIDES IN BIOSTIMULATION?
Deep hydration.
Stimulation of collagen and elastin production: They stimulate the activity of fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing these important structural proteins in the skin.
Regenerative and reparative effects: they promote skin healing, cell renewal and reduce inflammatory processes.
Antioxidant properties.
THE BENEFITS OF BIOSTIMULATION OF THE EYE AREA
- Significant moisturizing and nourishing effects on the deep layers of the skin
- Improves skin texture, structure and elasticity
- Reduction of wrinkles and fine lines
- Brightening and unifying skin tone
- Suitable for people with a damaged skin barrier, sensitive skin or as a maintenance biostimulation treatment
WHAT DOES BIOSTIMULATION WITH POLYNUCLEOTIDES HELP WITH?
- Smoothing and brightening the eye area
- Reduction of wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes
- Rejuvenation and hydration of even very delicate skin
- Elevation of the eyebrows
HOW DOES THE TREATMENT WORK?
The procedure itself takes only a few minutes. The polynucleotides are safely applied with a small needle or cannula under the skin around the eyes. Slight swelling or bruising may be noticeable immediately after the procedure. I do not recommend heavy exercise, sports, sunbathing or sauna on the day of treatment. Besides, biostimulation does not require further recovery.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REPEAT THE TREATMENT?
The effect is visible after the first treatment. It is suitable for all skin types, as a preventive treatment at a young age, as well as for mature skin. For the best result and for a radiant, youthful eye area, I recommend repeating the treatment 2-4 times at an interval of 2-4 weeks. To maintain deep skin regeneration, it is a good idea to repeat the biostimulation method every 4-6 months depending on the skin condition. The treatment can be performed all year round.
FOR WHOM IS POLYNUCLEOTIDE TREATMENT NOT SUITABLE?
The treatment is not suitable for people under 18 years of age, pregnant or breastfeeding women or in case of autoimmune disease, active skin infection or inflammation at the application site. In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, caution should be exercised as the application may cause adverse reactions.
IS IT USED EXCLUSIVELY ON THE EYE AREA OR ALSO ON OTHER AREAS?
Polynucleotides can be applied to different areas of the face or body where there is a need for skin regeneration and stimulation of collagen and elastin production. They are most often applied in the care of:
- The face: including areas such as the forehead, cheekbones and chin, where they help improve skin texture, reduce the visibility of wrinkles and enhance skin firmness and elasticity.
- Neck and décolletage: to help improve skin firmness, reduce wrinkles and provide a more youthful appearance to this area
- Hands: applied to reduce wrinkles, improve skin texture and restore a youthful appearance.
- Body: various areas such as the shoulders, abdomen, buttocks or thighs where they can help improve skin firmness and elasticity and reduce the visibility of stretch marks or other imperfections.
- Hair strengthening: polynucleotides applied to the scalp can strengthen hair and help control hormonal hair loss
- Other parts of the body: proven to work well on other areas depending on individual patient needs and specific indications, such as areas with scars, stretch marks, acne or pigment spots.
