In our clinics, the number of male clients has increased by six per cent in plastic surgery this year, and even by 10 per cent for rejuvenation dermatological procedures. Both plastic surgery and aesthetic dermatology are increasingly focusing on preventing and delaying the signs of ageing. The age limit is decreasing, even clients around 20 years of age are undergoing procedures - most often for breast or nose reshaping," said Pavel Horyna, MD, Chief of MEDICOM Clinic.

Eyelid surgery is still the most common procedure. This is followed by liposuction or breast adjustments. "The trend this year has been the "inner bra" method, butt augmentation or using one's own fat to rejuvenate or shape the figure," described Pavel Horyna, MD. However, what unites all the procedures is the tendency of naturalness. The ideal of beautifying procedures is the least invasive solutions with the most stable, long-term effect.

Slowly but surely, the Czech Republic is approaching Western countries where plastic surgery and dermatological treatments are a common part of appearance care. As interest grows, so do the number of new clinics. "One of the first criteria for selection should be the history of the clinic and the experience of the doctors. This goes hand in hand with the facilities and the environment of the facility. The client should already feel comfortable during the consultation, build a relationship with the doctor and feel trust in him.
