Helen's abdominal surgery gave her hope to feel comfortable in her body

With a slight exaggeration, the story of Helen's belly began thirty years ago, when thanks to the possibilities of medicine she managed to get pregnant for the second time. What followed was a huge surprise. The family grew not only with one longed-for child, but with triplets - healthy, strong and big. Helena left the maternity ward without any pregnancy pounds, but the skin on her belly never returned to its original state. Caring for four children kept her so busy that she didn't think about the overhang on her belly. She learned to wear high or tight underwear.

"I fought for my life after the accident because of my children."

Helen was tested by fate. She went through a divorce and was left to raise four children alone. She worked hard to provide for her family and her work also gave her hope for a better tomorrow. But fatigue set in. One morning, she fell asleep at the wheel and crashed. There was little hope of survival. Doctors had to literally screw Helen up. Her serious condition required three months in bed and a broken pelvis external fixator. Her will to live and recover was fueled by thoughts of her children.

"As I got older, my problems began to reverberate."

Her medical condition did not allow her enough exercise after the accident. So she began to gain weight. The condition of her abdomen was aggravated by the scars that dragged uncomfortably. The large, overhanging belly was not only very distressing to look at, but caused Helen considerable discomfort. She had been considering abdominoplasty for many years. Plastic surgery became her hope to feel beautiful and comfortable in her own body again.

Abdominoplasty is a procedure that goes a long way in making clients comfortable. Most often, abdominoplasty surgery is undergone by women after multiple pregnancies or people who have lost weight radically. It consists not only of removing excess skin or fat, but often also of surgically addressing diastasis, the stitching together of the spacing of the rectus abdominis muscles.

"I wasn't afraid of the procedure."

Helena entrusted herself to the care of the doctors at Medicom Clinic. "Dr. Michal Puls was kind, he explained the procedure and the subsequent recovery. After all my previous experiences, I was not afraid of the procedure," she confided, adding that she was also reassured by the friendly staff and the environment of the clinic, where she felt comfortable. The abdominoplasty gave Helena back not only her self-confidence but also her freedom in choosing her clothes.

Mrs. Helena is an admirable woman. She has impressed me with her life story and her great will to face difficult trials and raise 4 children. She reminded me a little of my mother. Abdominoplasty was more difficult because of extensive scarring from previous injuries and surgeries. However, Ms. Helena was a very brave client during the procedure, healing and recovery. I am so glad that I helped make her dream come true.
