Martin's transformation: flat belly like never before

Martin was very overweight. He decided to fight it and started to work out and run regularly. Along with adjusting his diet, the weight started to drop and the initial 110 kg became 60 kg within a few years. Only one thing stood in the way of the victorious feeling of overcoming himself. Martin was hiding "something" under his T-shirt that reminded him of the past. "The idea of going to the swimming pool with my children was out of the question. I had a block in me, to take my shirt off," he confided. He understood that it was time to seek the help of a plastic surgeon.

Martin's motivation was far from lacking

Even though Martin had reached his weight goal, he wanted to continue to improve his exercise routine. But the extra skin on his abdomen was getting in the way. This was the turning point. He visited the head of the MEDICOM Clinic in Prague , MUDr. Pavel Horyna. His initial fears about the procedure quickly disappeared. "I felt great at the MEDICOM Clinic. The chief physician assured me that the abdominoplasty would solve my problem. He thoroughly explained to me how the surgery would work and what I should prepare for. I didn't think about anything else on the way back home," Martin described his impressions.

Mr Martin has lost 50 kg of his original weight in three years, which is admirable. He came to the consultation with an athletic physique, but due to the amount of fat he had reduced, there was a skin overhang in his lower abdomen, which he masked in his underwear. Understandably, it interfered with his personal, intimate and sporting life. Therefore, after a personal consultation, I recommended an abdominoplasty, in which we removed this skin and subcutaneous flap and also tightened his abdomen. The result is a flat, firm and Martin's diligent and athletic abdomen. The only reminders of the procedure are the scar around the belly button and a thin scar in the lower abdomen, which is hidden in his underwear. We are both satisfied with the result.

The fear of pain suddenly disappeared

Martin himself says he doesn't tolerate pain very well. He was worried about what would happen when he woke up after the procedure. But these soon subsided as he felt no pain. "If I hadn't had my stomach bandaged, I really don't think I would have had the procedure. There was no pain even during the recovery period," said Martin, praising the staff in the same breath for their above-standard care before and after the abdominoplasty.

A flat stomach like never before

At the follow-up check-up, Martin was shocked - he had never had such a flat stomach before. He was also pleased to see that he had not noticed the post-operative scar at first, and only later realised that it was just a thin line underneath his abdomen. His outlook on himself has also changed, which he feels in his personal and professional life . He can finally put on a tight T-shirt and choose the fashion he likes without restricting himself. He can do what he wants and what he enjoys. He was able to gently return to his beloved sport after 6 weeks after consulting his doctor.

For many men, there is still a tendency that plastic surgery is mainly intended to beautify women. But this is not the case. Men too have the right to feel good and be happy with themselves. That feeling of newfound self-confidence is priceless.
