A browlift is a popular surgical procedure performed under general anesthesia to significantly rejuvenate the face by raising the eyebrows or correcting their asymmetry. A forehead lift targets excess skin and removes wrinkles, giving the face a younger, less severe appearance.

Types of browlift
Subperiosteal (endoscopic) browlift: This modern method is less invasive and involves small incisions in the hairline through which the surgeon lifts the brow and fixes it in its new position. The advantage of this method is faster healing and less risk of complications.
Traditional browlift: This proven traditional procedure involves a single longer incision in the hairline area at or slightly behind the top of the head. It allows you to achieve a significant lift of the forehead and brows with a long-lasting effect. The disadvantage is a larger scar, but this can be easily hidden in the hair or additionally softened with a laser.
Direct browlift: In this method, the plastic surgeon makes an incision directly above the eyebrow, usually on the outer side, and removes excess skin. The scar is then inconspicuous, hidden at the edge of the brow. The advantage is a quick recovery and a long-lasting effect. This type of browlift has enjoyed renewed popularity in recent years due to its effective results and short healing time.
Who is the procedure suitable for?
The browlift procedure is suitable for women and men who are concerned about sagging brows and forehead, which can cause a tired or frowning look. This is most common for those over the age of 40, when these signs of aging become more visible. However, younger clients are no exception, especially with subperiosteal browlifts. A forehead and brow lift is the ideal choice for those who want to achieve a more youthful facial appearance, lift the brows, smooth out forehead wrinkles or correct any asymmetry in the brow area.
Who is not suitable for?
Conversely, a browlift is not recommended for clients with serious medical conditions such as heart disease, blood clotting problems or active infections. It is also not recommended for those who have unrealistic expectations about the results of the procedure, or those who suffer from serious psychological disorders. Browlift is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
With what procedures can browlift be combined?
Browlift and forehead lift can be effectively combined with several other rejuvenating procedures. Some of the most common combinations include upper and lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), a facelift for sagging facial contours, or a lip lift to elevate and visually enhance the lip.

You often wonder
There may be slight hair loss at the incision site or the hair may be thinner for some time. However, their classic growth will naturally resume within a few weeks to months after surgery.
The forehead can be raised by endoscopic surgery with skin displacement on the forehead. This will also raise the eyebrows. The incisions in this procedure are in the hair and so are not actually visible. However, it is important to consult a doctor before the procedure. He or she will professionally assess whether such an operation would be suitable for the client.
The effect of plastic surgery of the forehead and eyebrows is long-term, lasting 5-10 years. However, it is necessary to take into account that the skin is constantly working. Therefore, with increasing age, the forehead and eyebrows may drop again.
The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia, but a direct browlift can also be performed under local anaesthesia. Slight swelling and bruising may occur after the operation. Due to gravity, bruising may then move lower in the eye and cheek area. However, the bruising will disappear in about 14 days.
If you are looking for a less invasive procedure than a forehead lift, we also perform the following procedures: thread lift (mesonite), which tightens the skin for 2-3 years. Minilift, which is especially suitable for removing the initial signs of aging. Application of botulinum toxin, which effectively removes wrinkles; the procedure must be repeated to achieve a long-lasting effect. Treatment of the skin with microneedle radiofrequency.
