Preparing for the procedure
Liposuction of the inner thighs is not suitable for everyone. Your doctor will warn you of contraindications such as pregnancy, obesity, serious medical conditions (e.g. cardiovascular disease, diabetes) and lack of skin elasticity. If you have any active infections or skin problems in the thigh area, the procedure will be postponed.

Although the results of liposuction are permanent, failure to maintain a healthy lifestyle can lead to fat re-growth in other areas of the body.

Not only after liposuction, it is of course important to watch your energy intake and expenditure. The metabolism remains the same after the procedure as before. However, if your energy intake is higher, fat will start to be stored preferentially in areas where liposuction was not performed. For example, after liposuction of the outer thighs, fat may be deposited more in the abdomen, etc. Liposuction reduces fat cells in the problem area, but a certain number of fat cells must remain in the area to maintain the symmetry of the figure.
Taking a blood thinner is unfortunately a contraindication to the procedure. This medication should not be taken as early as one week before the planned procedure. Thus, it is up to your hematologist to authorize discontinuation of this medication for at least 14 days (one week before and one week after the procedure) without putting you at risk.
An expert consultant at the clinic will help you choose the most suitable type of liposuction. Consultation with her is free of charge and completely non-binding (valid only in Brno and Ústí nad Labem). If you want to consult directly with a plastic surgeon about the procedure, of course, this is also possible. You will pay 1000 CZK for the consultation with him, but in case of setting a binding date for the surgery and its undergoing, the price of the procedure will be reduced by this amount.
As a rule, the inner thighs and the inner knee area are treated at the same time to ensure that the effect of the operation is as aesthetically pleasing and symmetrical as possible. During liposuction of the inner knees, we thoroughly suction the inner knee area, always trying to shape them so that they look as anatomically good as possible. However, the fat is not suctioned from the area above the kneecap (patella). Once the fat cushion has been completely suctioned, the thigh muscle would lose support there and its weight could cause skin overhang over the patella.
