Consultation

In most cases, the consultation is directly accompanied by the treatment. You tell the dermatologist your problems and your ideas about the result. Together, you then determine the areas you want to beautify and begin the IPL treatment.

Treatment details

Before the doctor begins the photorejuvenation, he or she will adjust the intensity of the Lumecca device according to your individual skin type.

During and after the treatment.

The treatment is performed lying down or sitting. The skin must be perfectly cleansed. A cooling gel is applied to the treatment area to ensure a comfortable treatment. The IPL treatment takes approximately 45 minutes.

Thanks to Lumecca's innovative technology, you will see results after the first or second session.

During recovery from the procedure, pigment spots may precipitate and then peel off. This process can take up to 10 days.

Long-term care

Immediately after photorejuvenation, the skin may be red. For faster healing, apply Bepanthen cream.

For 4 weeks after the procedure , protect your skin with a high SPF cream and avoid direct sunlight. During this time, skip visits to tanning beds and saunas. Do not use decorative cosmetics for 48 hours after the treatment

The resulting effect of Lumecca's intense pulsed light will last longer than 12 months.

You often wonder

IPL pulsed light treatment is suitable for pigment spots. Pulsed light does not break the skin surface and is gentler on the skin. It does not address skin irregularities and does not work in depth. Therefore, there is no risk of bleeding or infection. After the treatment, you go straight home.

The treatment of pigment spots around the lips, under the nose or on the face can also be treated with a radiofrequency device or chemical peel. You will discuss the suitability and choice of treatment with your doctor during a personal consultation.

To remove redness of the skin, cheeks, neck and décolleté yes. However, we use a special Vbeam laser to remove individual veins.

Discuss the suitability of the procedure with your doctor during a personal consultation. The most common treatments for scars are chemical peels, erbium laser treatment, CO₂ laser treatment, radiofrequency treatment or vascular laser.

We have good experience with mesotherapy or plasmatherapy - rejuvenation of cells with our own blood plasma. But there are also other options. It is best to consult your doctor directly and together choose the best option for you.

CO₂ laser is an ablative type of laser that emits light radiation in the form of a concentrated beam. It makes small holes (micro thermal zones = MZT) in the skin, which are filled with new skin as it heals. This leads to a renewal and tightening of the skin, causing more visible and pronounced rejuvenation. Healing is manifested by tiny scabs. IPL pulsed light works by emitting a broad spectrum of light with different wavelengths that non-ablatively removes melanin pigments, resolves subtle redness or veins and superficially contributes to skin rejuvenation. It can be combined with a chemical peel.
