Tumescent liposuction gets rid of excess fat in the area quickly, permanently and almost painlessly. It is a common and time-tested invasive procedure in which fat is suctioned from the problem area with a thin cannula. Liposuction is normally performed only under local anaesthesia. Thanks to this, it is followed by a very short recovery period.

Thanks to the tumescent solution with anesthetic
Tumescent liposuction is usually performed under local anesthesia, but in some cases general anesthesia may be recommended, depending on the extent of the procedure and patient preference. The tumescent solution containing a diluted numbing anaesthetic, in addition to other active ingredients (e.g. adrenaline), is responsible for minimal pain. This special solution is infused into the treatment area before the actual liposuction. Thanks to the very quick effect of the diluted anaesthetic in the tumescent solution, the next phase of the procedure becomes completely painless for you.
The duration of the procedure, i.e. the filling of the area with the tumescent solution and the subsequent fat extraction phase, depends mainly on the amount of subcutaneous fat. Most often, however, the entire liposuction procedure takes around one to two hours.
No significant scars will be left on your body after the liposuction cannulas. Rather, they are small wounds that blend in fairly well with the surrounding skin color. However, minor swelling or bruising may appear in the treatment area after the procedure. However, thanks to the compression underwear that you will wear for a few weeks after surgery, any such undesirable effects will quickly pass.
Classic tumescent liposuction is suitable for removing unwanted fat from almost any area of the body. It can deal with excessive fat in larger areas - the abdomen, inner or outer thighs, hips - as well as fat accumulated in the arms or chin. Men are increasingly choosing this procedure to remove fat from the breasts.
- Laser liposuction - the fat cells are broken up with a laser beam, and the next stage of the procedure makes it much easier to suction out the fatty tissue
- Ultrasonic liposuction - the fat cells are disrupted using ultrasound, then the fat tissue is gradually suctioned out through a thin cannula
- Water liposuction - a pulsating beam of water precisely targets the fat cells and separates them from the connective tissue network that fixes them in the tissue
Tumescent liposuction can
solve the following problems
- Excess fat in any body part
- Asymmetrical silhouette
- Wider hips
- Love handles
- Fat pad on the abdomen

You often wonder
After liposuction, you will have about 0.5 cm scars that do not heal, they are only covered with a patch and within a year after the treatment they will completely merge with the skin.
Not only after liposuction, it is of course important to watch your energy intake and expenditure. The body's metabolism remains the same after the procedure as before. However, if energy intake is higher, fat will start to be stored preferentially in areas where liposuction was not performed. For example, after liposuction of the abdomen, fat may be deposited more in the flanks, etc. Liposuction reduces the number of fat cells in the problem area, but a certain number of fat cells must remain in the area for the figure to be symmetrical.
Taking a blood thinner is unfortunately a contraindication to the procedure. This medication should not be taken as early as one week before the planned procedure. Thus, it is up to your hematologist to authorize discontinuation of this medication for at least 14 days (one week before and one week after the procedure) without putting you at risk.
The compression underwear serves as a bandage to aid proper healing and reduce post-operative swelling. The elastic underwear tightens the treated area and reduces pain during the healing phase after the procedure, in addition to helping the skin adhere to the subcutaneous tissue better and faster - thus promoting overall firming of the area after liposuction.
With liposuction under local anesthesia, only the problem area is numbed. The client is fully conscious during the procedure and can communicate and cooperate with the doctor. The doctor can position the client well or perhaps stand up to assess the result of the liposuction. In addition, there is no need for hospitalization in the clinic after local anesthesia and the recovery time after the procedure is shorter overall.
