How does the device actually work?
The device works on the principle of selective photothermolysis, where light energy is converted into heat energy only in the target tissue (haemoglobin). This absorbs the radiation to the maximum extent possible and thus protects the surrounding tissue from damage. As a consequence of the thermal effect, the haemoglobin is destroyed, the vessel is closed and gradually dies.
The procedure helps the skin by using specially generated heat
Before the procedure, the doctor will cover your eyes with special goggles or covers to protect your vision. The dermatologist then carefully directs the laser pulses using special tips chosen specifically for your problem. The laser beam reacts with red blood dye in the blood vessels. Using heat, the blood vessel shrinks, darkens and begins to resemble a bruise. However, like any other bruise, it is then easily absorbed and healed. The laser pulses flash brightly, but only slightly sting.
You will see the result in 3 to 6 weeks
Immediately after treatment, the blood vessels may turn pink, red, reddish-purple or blue-black. This is a sign that the treatment has been successful. The body recognizes which blood vessels have clotted with the treatment and they heal within 7-14 days. About 5-10 minutes after the treatment, the treated areas burn and may sometimes swell a little. It is therefore advisable to cool the areas and lubricate them with a healing cream. You can evaluate the final result of the treatment after a few weeks. For some more complicated problems, it is necessary to repeat the treatment several times.
After the treatment, take it easy and skip the pool for a week.
It is ideal to undergo the treatment in autumn, during winter or early spring. After the treatment, avoid the sun and always apply a high UV factor sunscreen (SPF 50) to the treated areas as a precaution. Swap swimming for a walk for a week or so, so that the treated areas do not get wet for long periods. You should also avoid the sauna.

Immediately after treatment, the blood vessels may turn pink, red, reddish-purple or blue-black. This is a sign that the treatment has been successful. Only rarely and on more sensitive areas will the blood vessels heal through superficial blisters and scabs or transient pigmentation. All heal within 2-4 weeks.
Acne has many forms and inflammatory phases, and every skin is actually a little different. Therefore, something different will help each person. We also treat acne scars or stretch marks with chemical peels, various other types of lasers, corticosteroids or IPL treatments.
It should not be performed on tanned skin or in areas where there is or has been an acute skin condition - for example, cold sores or eczema - in the past week. Blood thinners may also increase the risk of complications. If you are taking these, be sure to tell your doctor so that he or she can better monitor the safety of the treatment.
