"Rhinoplasty"
I've had a complex about my nose for a long time. I felt like everyone was looking at me and seeing nothing but this huge ugly nose. The older I got, the worse it got. My self-esteem was plummeting and I dreamed of plastic surgery. And then one day I said, "I'm in and that's it."
My nose was giving me a huge headache and I didn't like myself. I don't even know what exactly broke inside me that day. I kept talking about treatment, but I didn't do anything about it. Suddenly, out of the blue, I made an appointment for a consultation at the MEDICOM Clinic in Prague.
I liked Dr. Peter Ondrejka already from the photos on the clinic's website. And the personal meeting confirmed my first impression. A very smiling person, at the same time a professional with a direct manner. He made me believe that everything would turn out fine.
"I had a thousand thoughts in my head."
I had a complete rhinoplasty in early July. I was very nervous before the procedure. I had never been in surgery or under general anesthesia before. I had a thousand thoughts. I was worried about how I would feel under anesthesia. I was afraid of the risks involved. What if something went wrong and it was worse than before. What if the surgery hurt. What if I woke up in the operating room.
But such scenarios were unnecessary. When I came fully awake after the surgery, I didn't feel any pain. I just couldn't breathe through my nose, which was logical given the tamponade inside my nose. It's similar to having a stuffy nose from a cold.
"I couldn't believe this was my nose."
I spent the next two days in the clinic. I have to admit, I loved it. It doesn't feel like a hospital at all, more like a bedroom. The environment is very pleasant, clean and cosy. The nurses were nice, helpful, smiling and answered my every question. Afterwards, I rested at home with my cast for a week and then went back to my normal life.
And what was the result? I couldn't believe my eyes. I was incredibly excited! The procedure met my expectations. The doctor accurately described the shape of the nose I had dreamed of. Since then, I've been looking at it all the time, especially in profile, which I used to avoid. I couldn't believe that this was really my nose. Even the people around me reacted positively. They said my new nose looked good on me. Even those who discouraged me from having the procedure say it has changed me for the better.
It's a dream come true. I feel much better and more confident now. If you're also thinking about the same procedure, there's nothing to worry about. The surgery is completely painless. It's also important who you put yourself in the hands of. And Dr. Ondrejka at least has hands of gold. I highly recommend him and the entire MEDICOM Clinic team.

The client underwent a complete rhinoplasty, a plastic surgery of the nose using a closed technique. The nose was dominated by a noticeable bump. The client underwent the procedure under general anaesthesia with a one-day hospital stay in the clinic. We then removed the tamponade from the client's nose and discharged her to home care. The client had to wear a plaster splint at home for 2 weeks. The first week permanently, day and night, the second week the splint was only needed at night. The client healed very quickly and we are both pleased with the outcome.
