Liposuction of the hips
For a perfectly sculpted silhouette

The first important step is an initial consultation with an expert liposuction consultant or directly with a plastic surgeon. You'll tell one of them what your vision is for the outcome of the procedure, and together you'll find the best way to achieve it. First of all, you will choose one of 5 options for invasive liposuction: classic tumescent liposuction, ultrasonic liposuction, laser liposuction or water liposuction.
You will learn all the necessary information about the procedure, the post-operative healing process and possible risks. An expert consultant or plastic surgeon will answer all your questions. You will also see before and after photos of our clients. If you decide to undergo the procedure during your consultation, you can also schedule an appointment right away.
If you wish to undergo the procedure under local anesthesia, please be aware that we can only remove fat from one larger problem area. The second larger area can only be addressed during the next procedure. If you wish to suction fat from more than one area at a time, you will discuss with your consultant or doctor the possibility of having the procedure under general anaesthetic. However, as a general rule, we prefer to perform liposuction of one main area under local anaesthetic and then liposuction of another area under local anaesthetic in the future. The operation is less demanding for the body and we achieve better results.
Before liposuction under local anaesthesia, it is usually sufficient to undergo only a basic biochemical blood test. This test is included in the price of the procedure, you will not pay extra for it. Depending on your wishes, we will perform the examination at our clinic either at a predetermined time or on the day of the procedure. However, the examination must not be older than 14 days on the day of surgery.
Taking blood thinning medication is unfortunately a contraindication to the procedure. This medication must not be taken as early as one week before the planned procedure. Thus, it is up to your hematologist to authorize discontinuation of this medication for at least 14 days (one week before and one week after the procedure) without putting you at risk.
For all invasive liposuction procedures, we use a tumescent solution containing diluted anaesthetic and adrenaline. This makes the procedure painless. Once the anaesthetic has taken effect, the doctor starts suctioning the fat from the designated area using a thin cannula that is connected to a device that creates a vacuum.
However, in the case of ultrasonic liposuction and both laser liposuction, a special microcannula with a penetrating ultrasound or laser fiber is used to soften the fat before the actual suctioning. The suction is then gentler on the skin and easier for the doctor to do as well. The laser and ultrasound target the fat cells exclusively, so they do not damage the surrounding tissues or blood vessels. As a result, the client has less swelling and bruising after the procedure and the overall post-operative healing time is reduced.
You will be fully conscious during the procedure, so you can communicate with the doctor. Invasive liposuction takes about 2-2.5 hours. Once it is complete, we will dress you in compression underwear, which you must not remove from your body for at least 24 hours.
After the procedure under local anaesthesia, there is no need to be hospitalized in the clinic. If you live in the same city as our clinic, we will be happy to drive you home free of charge. Otherwise, ask your partner or someone close to you to come and pick you up.
